American Coed Pageants was founded in 1983 and has become one of the largest and most popular scholarship programs of its kind in the world. They are committed to recognizing and rewarding as many deserving young ladies as possible through scholarship, cash awards and prizes, which total almost $1,000,000 annually. The pageants goal is "to recognize and reward the outstanding youth of our nation for their academic and community achievements…the young women of America who are our dreamers, our achievers, and who typify the theme of our pageant… Youth…Pride of the Present, Hope of the Future."
